Does credit for auto insurance affect everyone on the plan?

Right now, I'm 18 years old. My dad wants to include me in his auto insurance so I can drive his car to college/work. But, my dad has bad credit and I have no credit so far. So, if he adds me onto his auto insurance plan, will his bad credit transfer to mine and cause me to have bad credit as well? Also, if my dad drives and if there is car accident, will that affect my insurance too since I am also on the same plan with him? *If this happens
