Forgot to pay auto insurance this month until a few hours before the cancellation time (noon today). Am I OK?

I didn't receive my Farmers auto insurance notice/threat of cancellation until today. Raced to my computer and submitted the payment around 9:00am today, which was the day given on the threat of cancellation notice as "will be cancelled at noon on July 15". Am I still okay? I'd ask my agent, but he's useless--doesn't call me back or answer his phone.
