Why is mandatory auto insurance to make sure other drivers can be reimbursed for my actions ok?

But mandatory insurance to make sure doctors and hospitals can be reimbursed for my healthcare is considered socialism? For those that said my healthcare doesn't impact them--wrong. There are hundreds of communicable disease that, if left untreated, could easily make their way back to your house. Not to mention the horrid diseases that decomposing bodies in the street can pass on. Insurance, by definition, is socialistic--spread the cost and risk of healthcare across all members of the plan to make it more affordable for everyone and reduce risk for the carriers and providers.
